Kaa Shaayí is a Tlingit artist and founder of Placemake Arts Northwest. His work celebrates Northwest Coast Indigenous formline design traditions. Notable works include the 43-foot “Ancestral Spirits” mural in downtown Ferndale featuring Tlingit formline design with Orca (Kéet) and Eagle. He holds a BA in Native Studies Leadership from Northwest Indian College, graduating with highest honors in 2024.
